You’ll provide technical leadership to a banking delivery team—from interface architecture to AI-powered delivery that measurably reduces output and costs. This isn’t a greenfield project, but rather making an impact within an ongoing program.

The Project
Corporate customer workflows on a central banking platform — end-to-end (E2E) from the Angular front end through business logic to integration via the platform API, signature and form modules, including identity verification via photo ID and ID Austria. In addition, several AI use cases (chatbots in customer service).
Months 1–3: Takeover
You will be responsible for the technical architecture of the current routes without any service interruptions, and you are familiar with the integration logic for the platform and service providers.
Months 4–6: Independently Productive
You will be responsible for the interface design for the next features (account opening, money market account, product eligibility) and will establish an initial set of reusable APIs.
Starting in Month 9: Strategic Impact
You’ll provide the technical architecture blueprint for scaling to multiple parallel streams—an initial AI-powered delivery setup is already up and running within the team.
What You Do
Architecture at the Heart of Delivery
- You are responsible for the solution architecture of the end-to-end routes and provide technical guidance to the Angular front-end, back-end, integration, and QA teams.
- You design the interfaces with the banking platform and the group’s internal IT service providers in such a way that one connection speeds up the next—reusable APIs instead of individual requests.
- You’ll parallelize development and integration so that the service providers’ release cycle doesn’t slow down each route by weeks.
- You bring AI-powered delivery to the team—coding assistants, AI-assisted specification and testing—and make output and cost efficiency measurable using hard numbers.
- You will make the technical decisions within the delivery scope yourself (interface design, patterns, tooling) and coordinate the target vision with the bank’s CIO department.
What You Bring to the Table
Communicative, hands-on, and able to integrate well
- You’ve built interface architectures for core or platform systems and know firsthand the pain of release dependencies.
- You communicate with the department and IT on an equal footing, act as a liaison between the two, and take the lead in unclear situations.
- You ‘ll stay hands-on: code reviews and technical decisions right at the heart of the delivery process—no architecture from the sidelines.
- You’re actively adopting AI tools instead of fearing them.
- You have firsthand experience with banking or a similarly regulated environment through your own work.
- Business-level German (client, department) and good English — because parts of the team work internationally.
