Since its foundation in 2023, the platform has increased its value to ten million euros and established itself as the leading online marketplace for wine lovers. WineWallet, a brand of trade&drink, offers an innovative solution for storing and trading wines, reflecting the booming wine trade.
The platform enables customers to store their wines safely under optimal conditions and provides a transparent overview of private stocks. Using state-of-the-art technologies, including artificial intelligence, it calculates the current market value of the wine collection, for example, and determines the ideal time to enjoy each bottle. WineWallet thus cleverly combines traditional expertise with new digital solutions relating to wine.
The founders Melanie Scholze-Simmel, Martin Karner and Hubert Schultes are continuing to drive digitalization in the wine trade and are planning to expand their range to include regional wine warehouses in Italy, France and Switzerland, which will significantly shorten transport routes in the interests of sustainability, among other things.
