Karl Ivo Sokolov, Managing Partner of SPG Data, has been appointed to the global board of the IMA – Institute of Management Accountants – for the financial year 2025-2026.
In his role as Global Director, he will oversee the strategic direction of the IMA, ensure the financial health of the association and keep an eye on the activities of the committees. He will also act as an ambassador for the organization, actively advocating for IMA members and the further development of management accounting. He will also serve on the Strategic Planning Committee.
The IMA is one of the largest and most respected associations dedicated to the advancement of the management accounting profession. Members include accounting and finance professionals working in both public and private companies, not-for-profit organizations and government institutions, as well as students and academics from various countries. The IMA offers professional certifications, educational programs, networking opportunities and leadership training, among other things.
